Alejandro Quijano was born in August, 1957 in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico.
He studied architectural construction techniques at the National Polytechnic Institute IPN. and sociology at the National University UNAM. Simultaneously he decides to incursion in the rising science of computers knowledge and becomes a part of the Arthur Rosenbleth Institute. In 1974 he began his studies in plastic arts and by 1983 had built his own workshop where he has continued his career delving into all possible plastic art expressions: painting, engraving, stained glass, and sculpting in its different mediums. He has participated in many and varied art shows shown at different cultural centers such as public as well as private art galleries covering more than 300 important shows and some of his pieces are part of important collections.
He has been a professor in Social Sciences at the UNAM and a Professor at the Technical Institute of Monterrey, Mexico City Campus (ITESM): Artistic Glass, Creative Art, & Enamel Workshops
He is elected as a member of the board of the Mexican Plastic Art Salon, National Institute of Fine Arts I.N.B.A, representing 225 of the most selected artist in Mexico in 2002, named director of Graphic & Designs of the Authorial Visual Arts Mexican Society (SOMAAP), in 2004, he is founder of the Ludic Artist Society on august 24 in the Diego Rivera Mural Museum, Mexico City Historic Center, he is elected Commissioner of External Exhibitions of the Mexican Plastic Art Salon, 2005 and is Founder and President of the Talent Summary Foundation.

Main Collective Art Shows:
From 1985 to 1989 - Some of his work was selected to enter in the International Stained Art show in Mexico City at the Siqueiros Cultural Polyforum.
1989 - He entered the Casa Abierta contest with the “Paradigma” sculpture at which time he became a member of the Mexican Plastic Art Salon where he has continued to participate in their Painting and Sculpting Salon shows.
1991 - IV Biennial Diego Rivera show in Guanajuato, Mexico.
1993 - He was selected to participate in the National Cultural fund DAP Plastic Arts Directory show at the Viceroy Picture Gallery museum of Mexico City.
1994 - At the Fine Arts Palace Museum of Mexico City he participated in the 44th Anniversary Show of the Plastic Arts Salon.
1993, 1995, 1997 - Some of his work was selected for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd biennial show for Art Objets & Toys, held in Mexico City at the Jose Luis Cuevas Museum and then later shown in San Antonio, Texas, Paris, Barcelona, and Tel Aviv.
1993 - At the Louis C. Morton Gallery in Mexico City he participated with the Independent Artists group show.
1994 - At the Rassiga Gallery of Guadalajara he entered the show Nahual Night.
1995 - At the Royal College of Mining in Mexico City, his painting Solidarity, was chosen to be published in the book Homage to Luis Donaldo Colosio.
1996 - At the Jaime Torres Bodet Cultural Center in Mexico City he participated in the show titled The Presence of the Mexican Plastic Art Salon at the IPN.
1997 - At the Mexican Plastic Art Salon in Mexico City, jointly sponsored by the Mexicana Airlines Company, he participated in the show Flying is an Art.
1998 - At the Christ College enter the exposition: Mexican Food as Art in Mexico City, of the National Fine Arts Institute INBA.
1999 - In the Modern Art Cafe, Mundo E of the state of Mexico, he participated in the Art Crusade for Cancer.
2000 - At the Nation Archives office of Mexico City he presents the colective show Preservation of the Memory of Mexico.
2001 – At Del Carmen Museum IX Guadalupana Biennial, Coyoacan, Mexico.
2002 – I Painting Biennial of Latinamerica and the Caribbean, in the Plastic Arts Salon Museum, Mexico City.
2002 – Special guest at the 33erd Art Fair of The American School Fundation.
2003 – 50 Artists of the Mexican Art Salon in the San Carlos Academy in Mexico City.
2004 – He participates in the Erotic Art Show, held in The Museum of Regional Art in Azcapotzalco Mexico.
